Basic Fence Construction and Repair Tips


Many communities require fences around swimming pools to protect children and non-swimmers. Even if there's no ordinance in your area, your insurance company may require you to fence your pool in order to qualify for a homeowner's policy. In most cases, the fence must be at least 6 feet tall and must meet local code requirements for design and materials.

Security fencing can contain children within an area such as a play yard. The type of fence you choose for this purpose will depend on your child's age. So, like other types of security fences, a child-proof fence should be high and provide no toeholds. Smaller wire mesh is ideal is possible.
